Fresh juice stored aseptically
MilkWays originates from more than two decades of experience in international liquid food logistics through Trilobes.
MilkWays develops aseptic, temperature-controlled supply chains for dairy on a concept proven worldwide by Trilobes.

Efficient intercontinental bulk transport

On-demand delivery to processors

A transport concept, fully proven over 20 years and adopted by major juice suppliers.
MilkWays applies the same fundamental thinking to milk.
Milk has traditionally remained much more local because of its limited shelf life and sensitivity to temperature and contamination. MilkWays combines our experience in liquid-food logistics with technology specifically developed to overcome these barriers.

MilkWays is not designed around short-term commodity trading. We develop long-term connections between milk-producing regions and dairy processors.
A reliable route to market can provide farmers and cooperatives with the confidence needed to develop efficient, sustainable milk production.
Access to an additional long-term milk source strengthens supply security and reduces dependence on the limitations of a single local production region.
Long-term relationships create the foundation for investment, efficiency, quality and continuous impact reduction.
Supply security on one side. Market security on the other.
MilkWays builds the connection, the bridge.
New food technologies and alternative proteins have an important role to play. But improving the global food system cannot depend on alternatives alone.
Milk is produced at enormous scale: around 1,000 million tonnes per year, growing by about 2%, or roughly 20 million tonnes annually.
For comparison: the total alternative-milk market has an annual size of around 20 million tonnes.
The question is not only whether we produce more milk. It is where we produce it. MilkWays aims to enable more of that growth to take place in regions with the resources to produce milk efficiently and with lower impact.
And as pressure on land, water and the environment increases in growing consumer markets, the same principle can increasingly apply to existing production.
